Before upgrading, take note of the following two important points as a result of a number of technical advances that were made to the upgrade and script process:
1. Before upgrading, Integrity Check 11.5 (Database Referential Integrity), must be run via the MDA Property Manager application. Alternatively, run the following command via SQL Management Studio: DBCC CHECKCONSTRAINTS. If the check fails, the upgrade will need to be postponed until errors are resolved. If the check returns any errors, contact support@mdapropsys.com
2. The new upgrade and script process is not compatible with Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP. If the SQL server is still on these operating systems, the upgrade and script process can be run over the network from another workstation that is compatible i.e. Windows Server 2008/R2, Win 7 or Win 8.
